Free and Pro

The free app is the full trip planner: trips, cover photos, countdowns, daily itineraries, travel plans, packing lists, budgets, reminders for important dates, notes, trip summary, and the Home Screen widget — ad-free, with no account required.

Pocket Trip Planner Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It adds smart suggestions for daily plans and packing lists, AI-generated trip cover photos, importing an itinerary from pasted text, a PDF, an image, or a photo, a Trip Files vault for confirmations and screenshots, polished PDF export, and extra packing templates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my trip data stored?

Your trips are stored on your device and sync privately through your own iCloud account when you're signed in. There's no separate account to create, and no one else can see your itineraries.

My trips aren't showing up on my other device

Confirm you're signed into the same iCloud account on both devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled for the app in Settings. Sync happens automatically in the background; if a recent change is missing, try closing and reopening the app on both devices.

Does the AI import (Pro) send my itinerary anywhere?

No. Pasted text, PDFs, images, and photos are read right on your device. There's no cloud processing step, and every import produces a draft you review and confirm before anything is added to your trip.

The Home Screen widget isn't updating

The widget refreshes when your trip data changes, but iOS controls exactly when widgets redraw. Open the app once to force a refresh, and confirm the widget is pointed at the trip (or "Upcoming") you expect — press and hold the widget and choose Edit Widget to change it.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Open the Pro upgrade screen from Settings and follow the prompts to complete the one-time purchase through Apple.

I already bought Pro but it isn't unlocked

Open Settings and use Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. If restore doesn't work, check your App Store purchase history for the Pro upgrade, then contact Apple Support for billing issues or email us with your device and OS version.

What are the Mac keyboard shortcuts?

On Mac, ⌘N starts a new trip, ⌘F jumps to Find Trips & Plans, and ⌘, opens Settings. Every list with a swipe action on iPhone (budget entries, transactions, transportation legs, packing items, imported events) also has a matching right-click menu on Mac, and Trip Files accepts drag-and-drop from Finder.

Purchases, Billing, and Refunds

Pocket Trip Planner is free to download. The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase sold through the Apple App Store — not a subscription. Apple handles billing, purchase history, restore, and refunds. For charges, refund requests, or purchase problems, use Apple Support and your App Store purchase history. For restore or unlock issues after confirming your Apple ID purchase, email mitchell525@gmail.com.
